The light added with the muted quality of colors really drew me into this. That, plus the composition and the square crop of the piece really, in my opinion, make this pop. I enjoy the play on lights and darks. The model almost seems to glow against the darkened trees in the background. And I'm quite sure I've never seen a piece with a model holding an accordion, which adds to the originality factor. :}

As for the focal point, I love how the orange/red contrasts with the overall green undertones in this piece. And it works well that her blouse has the same orange color in its design. It keeps the eye moving naturally so that it doesn't get stuck on that one pop of color.
